When a theoretical framework is built, it implicitly defines what can be disputed. Heterodoxy is allowed because it argues against orthodoxy using orthodoxy’s own rules and taxonomy.

By looking outside approved sets, exodoxical ideas don’t seek consensus—they seek expansion. To evaluate ideas from outside established lines requires removing the requirement that thought must fit neatly into pre-existing categories.
